1.    Who developed this platform and the courses?

The Wegital Heroes' Learning Management System (LMS) is one part of Search's efforts to give young people chances to learn about important subjects. This includes teaching them how to recognize and counter harmful speech online, effectively moderate online communities, understand their digital rights and security, and develop essential skills like communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence. All of these aspects aim to help young individuals grow personally and professionally. This initiative acknowledges the serious risks posed by online hate speech and false information. However, it believes that these risks can be overcome. By providing a platform for learning, cooperation, and action, it creates an opportunity to bring about positive, long-lasting change for future generations.

2. Are these courses free of charge?

Yes, the courses provided through the Wegital Heroes platform are indeed free of charge. However, it's important to note that there are two distinct categories of courses available: Capacity Building courses and Soft-skill courses.

3. What types of courses are available on the platform?

There are two types of courses available. They are; Capacity Building Courses: These courses are considered closed source and are primarily designed for Wegital Heroes, with whom there has been ongoing collaboration. Access to these courses is available through registration, and an administrator will assist in the enrolment process.   Soft Skills Courses: In contrast, the soft skills courses are completely free of charge and open to any interested user. These courses are primarily intended for young individuals between the ages of 18 and 29. They cover essential skills such as communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence, with the goal of supporting the personal and professional growth of young people.

4. How will these courses help me?

These courses offer not only valuable knowledge and skills but also foster a dynamic environment for networking and collaboration with like-minded individuals, mentors, and experts. Here's how: Capacity Building Courses (Closed Source): As a Wegital Hero or part of the collaborative community, you'll have the opportunity to connect with peers who share your commitment to addressing online hate speech and misinformation. These courses provide a platform for you to network and collaborate with individuals who are equally passionate about making a positive impact in the digital realm. You can exchange ideas, experiences, and strategies, creating a supportive community where collective efforts are amplified. Soft Skills Courses (Open Access): In the soft skills courses, you'll not only enhance your personal and professional competencies but also have the chance to engage with a diverse group of individuals between the ages of 18 and 29. This presents a unique networking opportunity, allowing you to connect with peers who are also on a journey of self-improvement. Building relationships with like-minded individuals can lead to valuable collaborations, both personally and professionally.

5. How do I navigate through this platform?

First, Register and Log in to the system. Then go to courses. There are soft skills and Capacity Building courses. You can enrol in soft skills courses by clicking enrol me button. If you want to study capacity-building courses, you have to request access by clicking the request access button. You will be notified when you are enrolled in the course.

6. Will I get a certificate for completing these courses?

Yes. Upon completion of each course, you will receive a Certificate which you can print or download and share on Linked In and other Social Media platforms.

7. How can I network/collaborate with other users?

You can engage with your peers through dedicated social media groups and forums linked to the platform. These digital spaces serve as vibrant hubs for discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaborative initiatives. They enable you to build a network of individuals who are committed to positive change in the digital sphere. The platform provides discussion forums where you can exchange ideas, seek advice, and collaborate on various topics. These forums encourage networking and the formation of valuable connections with peers who share your interests and ambitions.

8. Can I reach out to my course instructors?

Yes, you can directly reach out to them via their contact information shared in their profile section or send the admin team a query. The admin team will connect you with the resource person.
